LOVE VS. GREED
SOH
Productions
I recently
read that the majority of the
American public would prefer that their current government officials
were not
elected again. Eighty one percent wanted their present leaders out!
Wow, eighty
one percent is a really big percentage of the people! The article I
read, said
that this was irregardless, of political party. The people just want
them ALL
out, no matter, WHICH party they belong to!
I think that this is probably true
in the majority of the countries of the world. People are unhappy, with
so much
inequality, and its resultant suffering and sadness.
Well, even if all the
leaders of the world were changed, that wouldn't solve our problems,
because
the whole system is flawed: Man's present system is based on money. We
all know
it, this world runs on money. "He who has the most money, is right."
But money is a lousy way, of keeping score, and God will never bless
that. That
is not how HE sees things. God's values are DIFFERENT. Money is the
last thing
God uses as a measure of a man's real worth.
Once again, how different is the
way GOD sees things, and how man sees them. We are all put here on this
Earth,
to learn the difference between good and evil. We are all here to
choose, in
everything we do, to choose to be loving and giving, or unloving and
selfish.
In our "natural" inclination towards self preservation we tend to get
greedy. That seems to be in all of us. And it is this greed that has
taken
over. This rampant greed and selfishness, fueled by fear, is the cause
of all
of man's problems. I think it is the ONLY cause.
It is only with love that we
can change the world. It is only love that can replace this fear that
is in the
heart of man. Only love can make him WANT to do good, and help his
fellow man,
give willingly, instead of taking greedily. And it is only God who can
give us
this kind of love. Because this is the kind of love He gives us: An
unselfish
love, every day of our lives.
Only the second coming of Jesus will ever right
all wrongs, set things really straight and fair for all, but we CAN
make a
difference, each one of us today. May we make loving choices, giving
choices,
wise choices. What we plant, we will most assuredly reap, some way,
some day.
