The
past is gone; there's very little we can do about it. We have the
present and
the future in our hands. What matters is what we do with our present.
So many people live in the past. All they talk about is about things
they did
in the past, and I wonder... What about now? What are you doing now?
Are you
doing something good that you will be able to talk about tomorrow? Or
are you
just living in the victories of the past, or the defeats of the past?
Either way, if what you did was good or if it was bad, there isn't
much you
can do about it. Now, if you can make things right with someone you
have
wronged, then by all means do it. But other than that, don't dwell on
the past
too long, or it'll mess up your present.
Do new things in new ways. The Lord is constantly changing. He is not
stagnant,
so let's follow His example and not become stagnant too. It's when we
stop
moving and doing new things that we get old and we die.
The past is gone. There's very little we can do about it. I know so
many people
that live in the past, all they do is talk about the past. Some are
happy with
what they did, and they glory in their victories from twenty or even
thirty
years ago. Then there are some that can't leave the past behind and the
things
they wish the would have done different, they live in remorse. They are
wasting
their present by living in their past.
We have power over today, we have today to work with. We have
power
over today. So
if we do what we can and what we know is right, then we will
have a
tomorrow without regrets.
