"Judge not,"
people are always saying.
"You're being judgmental," is another thing we hear. But let's face
it: we all tend to judge.
People who gossip are judging. That’s all they do!
---talk about others, behind their backs. Some people think nothing
about it,
yet they are judging.
Yes, we all do judge to some degree. We are always sizing
up people, assessing situations, evaluating things. We all judge the
people and
things around us all the time. We have our tastes, our likes and our
dislikes
---and we voice them, sometimes frequently.
What people really don't like is
when we get all critical of them, or criticize what they believe or do.
Now,
THAT is the kind of judging nobody likes, or wants! We are all such
complex
creatures nowadays.... with our fast paced world and all of the things
going on
in our lives.
The Bible says to not judge according to the appearance, but to
judge righteous judgment. So, may we always look at others with eyes of
compassion, with a measure of love.
We are all in this together. We have so
much more in common than we don't.
I BELIEVE that Love IS still the answer. God
