You cannot do
the Master's work without the Master's power, and to get it you've got
to spend time with the Master.
The greatest temptation to otherwise sincere Christians is to make a
God out of God's service, to get so busy working for Him, doing things
that He wants them to do, or more often that they think He wants them
to do. They just don't remember to not neglect the most important thing
which is to just take time with him in contemplation and meditation and
prayer.
We all find ourselves with so many pulls from so many sides, so many
directions, especially in the world we're living in nowadays, the
internet world, such a fun exciting world with so many things. We have
information at our finger tips such as no other generation has ever had
in the history of the planet.
It's so easy to get caught up in everything. But the truth is if we are
to be happy in this life, truly happy, the first place has to remain
open and reserved for Him.
Our feverish activity is nothing without our love and we cannot do the
Master's work without the Master's power. The only way we can get that
is by getting our own spirits calm and quiet, shutting the door to all
the influences and the voices of this world, man's world.
It's so important to start our days off right and to take a pause to
hear from Him.
